Claire
The real senior scientist in the family.
“Joined the family in February 2021 and has since contributed significantly to the household’s culture through continuous lap occupancy.”
Born somewhere in Los Angeles, Claire spent her early months developing core competencies: napping at maximum efficiency, blepping at opportune moments, and judging strangers from afar.
Adopted in Los Angeles and immediately relocated to San Diego. She handled the transition with caution but eventually found the sunniest and warmest windows to nap under.
A six-hour flight across the country. Claire was stressed but was silent the entire trip apart from the TSA screening experience. First encounter with the East Coast apartment was met with curiosity.
Settled into Cambridge life. Proximity to MIT had no measurable effect on her publication output, but lab meetings were regularly attended from the comfort of a nearby lap.
Upgraded to a townhouse with proper south-facing windows. This development was greeted with immediate approval. Multiple nap locations scouted and approved within the first week.
